On-Site Sewage Disposal

GPR has a long history of designing on-site sewage disposal for residential, commercial and industrial projects.

As the technology has evolved over the last 15 years, GPR’s expertise in various types of systems has kept pace with conventional subsurface design and MA DEP approved Innovative/Alternative system designs. GPR has the capability to design for all DEP approved Innovative / Alternative septic technologies from small scale residential systems to large scale commercial/multifamily systems. GPR also has experience in the design of Waste Water Treatment systems with groundwater discharge permits, including the first Emergent Groundwater Discharge permit issued in Massachusetts.

Representative larger scale subsurface sewage disposal projects designed and permitted by GPR under Title 5 of the State Sanitary Code include:

  • Harvard Green – FAST system; 9900 gallons per day (gpd)
  • L.D. Russo complex; MicroFAST system; 3800 gpd; and a Modular FAST system; 6000 gpd
  • Fruitlands Museum, Harvard; FAST system; 9000 gpd

Representative larger scale subsurface sewage disposal projects designed and permitted by GPR through MA DEP under regulations for Groundwater Discharge and Reclaimed Water Permits include:
