New Manager of GPR Structural Group

Located in downtown Ayer, MA, Goldsmith, Prest & Ringwall, Inc. is a company of 28 employees, in Civil, Structural and Environmental Engineering, Land Surveying and Land Planning and is seeking a licensed structural engineer to manage and grow the structural engineering group.  GPR has owners and associates who manage the company.

REQUIREMENTS:

• US Citizen fluent with reading, writing and speaking English.
• Registered Professional Structural Engineer in MA and NH as a minimum with capability to obtain registrations in ME, VT, RI and NY.
• Have National Certification with National Council of Engineering Examiners
• Have 7 to 10 years of experience beyond obtaining first registration.
• Have ability to manage all aspects of a structural engineering group, while meeting clients’ needs, timetables and requirements.
• Familiar with writing proposals, reports and making presentations to municipal agencies.
• Proficient in designing with concrete, steel, aluminum, plastics and particularly with timber, lumber and engineered lumber.
• Have a good deal of common sense and familiarity with construction methods and requirements for simplicity of framing and making connections.
• Ability to get along easily with personnel and clients.
• Ability to find and procure new work and satisfy clients’ needs.
• Intimate with Risa and Enercalc Design software, AutoCad Architectural Drafting software.
• Familiarity with BIM is a plus though that has not yet been implemented at GPR.
• Have memberships and involvement in Professional Organizations.
