Chapter 40B Project
Harvard
Green, Harvard, MA
Harvard
Green is a residential cluster of thirty-two (32) multi-family homes on
over 20 acres of land in Harvard, Massachusetts. The site was designed
to mimic a village green similar to the houses around the Harvard
Common. This Chapter 40B comprehensive permit project was executed under
the Local Initiative Program (LIP) with the support of the Selectmen of
the Town of Harvard. The project created significant open space,
preserved wetlands, provided a new fire pond, and donated land to the
Town of Harvard for a full-sized soccer field.
GPR
provided design and construction observation services for this project,
including an Innovative/Alternative (I/A) wastewater treatment system
fed by a community sewer system. This project included the design and
construction of four separate treatment facilities and was designed to
allow for future expansion. To provide the required storm water runoff
control, treatment and discharge, GPR designed a series of
interconnected storm water detention basins.
